Barnet WEA Cinema Course

An event every week that begins at 10:30am on Thursday, repeating until 28th November 2019

This is an 8 session course led by tutor Daniel Williams. It will look at ways of interpreting films, showing extracts from classics such as ‘The Lavender Hill Mob’ and ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, among many others, as well as discussing the influence of directors like Hitchcock, the writer Alan Bennett and current developments in British cinema. There will be discussion and analysis of the ways in which films are created, have an impact on audiences and reflect social and cultural change.
