We invite our local community to join us in remembering loved ones at this time of year. Lights to Remember is a beautiful non-religious community event which gives people a chance light a candle and remember their loved ones. You do not have to have received care from Marie Curie to attend, the event is open to anyone who would like to come along and enjoy music and readings. Everyman Cinema and Home Instead have partnered up to offer free film screenings of well-known films that are particularly suitable for older people with memory problems, their partners, family members as well as people who care for them. The cinema lights are left on low throughout the screening and the volume is lower than usual to create a softer, more relaxed feel. Free refreshments are also available after the film.
