“We are north London’s most established cycling team. We have both an enviable reputation racing on the road, time trials and Cyclo Cross. “Each month we hold a friendly indoor meeting to discuss local cycling issues. We also look at specific aspects of cycling with a speaker, video or a practical demonstration on cycle maintenance. We can give you help and advice on bikes and cycling. Meetings are on the last Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Carey Hall of Trinity Church Centre, 15 Nether St. North Finchley N12 7NN, a short way down Nether Street from Tally Ho.

We run a programme of rides for the average cyclist who wants to enjoy the peace of the countryside, good food and a relaxed social atmosphere. All day rides are held on the third Sunday of every month – more in summer! You can ride in a group at an easy pace with a leader to show the way, and stop for lunch at a pub or café. And you can be sure you won’t be left behind. Usual start is from North Finchley at 10am. Evening rides too, in the summer.”

“CAMRA was formed in 1971, initially to ensure that beer drinkers had the opportunity to drink Real Ale in their pubs, which at that time was beginning to disappear. Nowadays, CAMRA has widened its scope to include the issue of misleading dispense, pub preservation, cider and perry, brewery closures, full pint legislation, the smoking debate and much more.

Locally we have around 750 members in the Enfield & Barnet branch, while nationally the Campaign has over 124,000 members (June 2011). If you would like to join us, either go to CAMRA Home, talk to one of the local committee members (Contacts), or come to one of our socials or meetings – listed in Diary.”
