This is a one day class on Danish Modernism: the painting of light in Denmark in the 19th century. Known as the Skagen painters, based in the far north of the Jutland coast this group of artists found ways to capture the wonderful quality of light on the long summer evenings they spent there, inspired by the French modernist movement to paint outside, instead of in studios, and to depict scenes of every day life.

This class is led by our popular expert tutor, Caroline Levisse and lasts for 4 hours with breaks. Please bring own lunch, coffee/ tea provided.
