Come and join us in Barnet Market on 03/09/22 for our 823rd birthday! In case you didn’t already know, Barnet market was chartered by none other than King John I on the 23rd of August 1199 and has been going strong ever since!

Come and meet the big man himself meeting customers and telling you a little about the market!

Not to worry we haven’t created a time machine, we will be joined by talented actor and lifetime Barnet Market customer Edward Dogliani, who will be in character as King John. To all of you Game of Thrones fans out there, you may recognise Eddie as the Lord of Bones! Who knows he might even let you have a photograph with him in our medieval stocks!

You’ll find our beautiful market littered with buntings and flags, and yes there will be birthday cake being handed out too!
