To celebrate the Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen the Friends of Grovelands are hosting a Platinum Picnic In The Park on Saturday 4th June 2022 10.30am – 6.30pm. A fun day for all the family!

There will be lots of activites taking place throughout the day including:

A dog show
1950s ballroom
Retro children’s games
Military band
Food and drink stalls
Historic exhibition

The highlight of the day will be a special pageant for the community, when school groups, families and individuals can all get into the spirit of the day by dressing up in Coronation or 1950s inspired costumes and joining in the parade. Prizes will be given for the best dressed in each category, whilst of course the pictures of the event will create new memories and be part of the rich history of the park.
