Barnet Market
With its long and fascinating history (dating back to the 12th century), Barnet's traditional food market is a lively community hub. And rightly so, given the name of the town Chipping Barnet derives from the Anglo Saxon word for market, Chepe or Cheap. Now located by the bandstand at the back of The Spires, it's an ideal starting point for local food shopping with plenty of fresh seasonal produce - plus some decent coffee from the Smart Coffee Company.

Ramblers East Finchley Wellbeing Walk
This gentle walk in green spaces lasts one hour and is FREE to everyone. All ages very welcome. Whether you used to enjoy walking but have lost your fitness or want to get started to improve your wellness, we’re all in it together. We’re a friendly bunch so you’ll get the warmest of welcomes. Everyone walks for their own reasons, whether to ward off illness, manage health conditions, or boost their wellbeing. Yet we all get more out of it by walking together.

Barnet Lighthouses 2023
Barnet Lighthouses was established in 2020 - a year that saw the whole world facing dark times. Throughout history, lighthouses have played a vital role by shining out beams of light. It was with this powerful image in mind that we drew inspiration for the project's name. Our vision is for the streets of Barnet to be lit up, by establishing a fun and creative window trail that is open and accessible to all. Check Facebook page for full details.

Allsortz Comedy Club
Allsortz Comedy nights run on the first Wednesday of every month. Hosted by High Barnet resident Chris Markiewicz, they feature the cream of new talent from the London comedy circuit. It is FREE entry with option to pay what you like at the end of the evening, should you wish and two meals for the price of one. Why is it called Allsortz? Because each night features a variety of acts - each one unique, each one different.
