Barnet Gallery

At the bottom end of the High Street just up from the tube near QE Girls is a treasure trove for artists, hobbyists and anyone looking for an interesting gift. The Barnet Gallery has been open for 33 years offering knowledgeable advice about anything art or craft related and, if you have a special picture to be framed, they can do this to a very high standard, but you do pay accordingly.

Once buzzed in (you need to ring the doorbell), it’s great browsing the shop with its bewildering array of brushes, paints, pastels, pencils, pens and countless other materials. Children find the shop fascinating, so it’s an ideal place to bring them with their pocket money, or, if you’re wondering what to do with those adult colouring books, just set foot in here and you’ll be totally inspired.
