Chickenshed is delighted to be hosting a new series of classes in mindfulness by Jessica Wall.
Course 1: Wednesdays 24 April – 22 May
Mindfulness – a first taste.
On this five week course, we look at different types of mindful practice and how this can enhance your daily life; we will uncover how, using mindfulness as a base, we can discover some of our own unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and work towards making a change in these. The result: reduced stress, more all-round awareness and self-knowledge. Mix it all together and we lead more fulfilled and enjoyable lives, at no extra cost!
Course 2: Wednesdays 29 May – 26 Jun
Course two can only be booked if you participated in course one.
Mindfulness – The Return
Following on from the First Taste of Mindfulness course, this second 5 weeks aims to consolidate the learning into real practice of mindful meditation, building up our own individual and group practice.
We will look at the science and evidence behind the technique and relate it to other practises that we may have experienced.
The goal here is to embed practice so that it becomes a reflex reaction, giving us the ability to respond instead of reacting to the events around us and within us.
