Trent Park mansion sold for housing

After a turbulent few years touched on in our recent piece on Trent Park and Enfield Chase we have just heard that the grade II-listed mansion has been sold to the Berkeley Group for redevelopment.

Talking to the Enfield Independent, Councillor Jason Charalambous who set up the ‘Save Trent Park’ campaign commented “This unique site has the potential to become a nationally important historic and cultural attraction, and I trust that Enfield council will do all it can to encourage this in planning negotiations with the developers.”

Berkeley say they are “committed to working with the community and Enfield council to develop the most appropriate proposals”.
